Maps are a recurring symbol in Salyna's work, navigating an individual mythology, while also illustrating the Greek concept of Sympatheia; the idea that all life shares the same energy of a universe that is an indivisible, unified living organism endlessly created anew.

Salyna Gracie has over 25 years of experience in the performing and visual arts as a working artist, teacher, choreographer, and event promoter. Salyna’s visual artwork has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions around the Pacific Northwest since 2011 and has been published in art books, as well as, poetry anthologies. Salyna is the former director of BRIO Art Center in Bellevue and Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA building and growing community art spaces to engage and gather.
As an arts administrator and practicing artist Salyna has witnessed first-hand how opening the flow of creativity can profoundly and positively impact people of every age and background. Integrating creative practice and the arts into our lives enriches each of us individually and local art spaces and neighborhood public art projects bring valuable opportunities for a shared sense of community and connection. Art experiences are essential to the human spirit whether creating, viewing, or learning. Open access to meaningful art experiences is at the heart of Salyna’s passion for the arts.
