About Salyna

Artist Statement

image52

Salyna Gracie is a mixed media encaustic artist inspired by the layering of materials to evoke dreamscapes that explore questions of identity, memory, legacy and inheritance.

Maps are a recurring symbol in Salyna's work, navigating an individual mythology, while also illustrating the Greek concept of Sympatheia; the idea that all life shares the same energy of a universe that is an indivisible, unified living organism endlessly created anew.
