M. K. Chandler was born and raised in New England. She relocated to the northwest in the late 1960s. Always creative, she has made art of one sort or another since childhood. Her fascination with people, especially women, has led her down many paths in many mediums. Primarily watercolor, drawing and stitchery. M.K's main body of work is titled "Honorable Ancestors and Alter Egos". The most recent creations are “Little People with Big Personalities”. Ornate costuming, striking color contrasts, imaginative scenarios and humor are happily present.
