KATHY ROSS

Kathy works are mainly sculptural and primarily in tin and mixed media. The art is a tongue and cheek view on many things in our modern world.

At first glance Kathy’s art might strike the viewer as simple excess, but at closer inspection you’ll find yourself, like Alice, entering a Wonderland with jeweled backstories and repurposed materials revealing new secrets. The sculptures created make use of the world’s materials to create innuendos with a wink and nudge, as the viewer you are included in Kathy’s wry sense of humor.
